VTDigger has launched its 2022 Election Guide ahead of one of the most consequential primary elections in decades.
Even before the campaign season began, 2022 was set to be a historic election year in Vermont. Two of the state’s three members of Congress, four of its six executive officers and roughly a third of all members in both legislative chambers are leaving their posts this year. Meanwhile, legislative district lines in many regions, including Chittenden County, have been redrawn for the first time in 10 years.
Early voting transformed the 2020 election season in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, tens of thousands of voters are expected to once again take advantage of early access, and ballots are already being cast.
VTDiggerโs 2022 Election Guide includes:
- Instructions on how to register and vote โ early, by mail or in person on Aug. 9;
- A candidate directory featuring biographical information and responses to survey questions about the issues facing Vermonters;
- A database of campaign finance information for both state and federal candidates;
- Videos and recaps from the 2022 Digger Debate Series;
- And a roundup of VTDiggerโs latest 2022 election coverage.
VTDigger will be updating the guide with additional features as the election draws closer. Sign up for the Daily Digger email newsletter for the latest updates.
