Danziger’s latest great cartoon (one of many), “GOP Support for Trump May be Slipping,” reminded me of the Chad Mitchell Trio’s 1965 satirical song “The I Was not a Nazi Polka,” and inspired me to write a version for today.
The trio’s version can be Googled, and is well worth the time even now. The song constantly changes rhythm, so what’s below may seem a bit disjointed. Just get the original and sing along.
