Thank you, VTDigger! I’m sure that an overwhelming number of your readers will welcome “Letters to the Editor” and this is an early note of appreciation for providing this new opportunity for discussion and comment.
Yes, it was unfortunate that the original commentary format grew to a level of misuse. We can all hope that now users will apply more thoughtful energy in composing letters to VTDigger. This opportunity was sorely missed. I continue to think highly of the level of discourse in Vermont that I have experienced over many years and it always illustrated the wonderful opportunity to have strong but perhaps opposite views on any issue and to be able to discuss that opposition, not target it.
