When H.510 was finalized in May 2022, then-House Ways and Means Committee Chair Janet Ancel, D-Calais, told VTDigger she believed the new child tax credit would be the “most significant (state-level) tax relief package we’ve been able to offer Vermonters.”
The Federal Emergency Management Agency identified roughly $3 million in eligible costs across eight counties, according to a joint press release from Gov. Scott and the state’s congressional delegation.

Town Meeting Day followed a contentious few months in Georgia during which numerous town residents, including former town employees, raised concerns about alleged abuses of power in the municipal office.
The National Weather Service dropped its winter storm warning for Vermont midday Wednesday, and wind advisories ended in Bennington and Windham Counties at 4 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm is expected to deposit over a foot of snow in some southern towns and up to 11 inches in northern counties.

The storm is expected to deliver between 6 and 14 inches of snow this weekend, according to the National Weather Service of Burlington.
