Dear Reader,
2022 was an historic election year, with unprecedented turnover in the Legislature and statewide offices. VTDigger made sure our readers not only stayed informed through our reporting, but were able to inform themselves through our innovative resources. We created an election guide that was a key resource and featured a district lookup tool, a campaign finance database and a candidate directory.
We also provided comprehensive coverage of Vermont candidates, including:
- Six open seats at the statewide level
- Two constitutional amendments
- Seven state Senate districts
- 10 House districts
- Local races for county sheriff, stateโs attorney and even side judges and probate judges.
The news VTDigger publishes is free to read, but it requires resources to produce. Our nonprofit newsroom is sustained by readers. Your support helps us to reach more Vermonters, grow our team and deliver news in pursuit of truth.
Plus: donate to VTDigger in any amount during our Spring Membership Drive, and through our partnership with CLiF, a Vermont child will receive a brand new book.

Yours,
Paul Heintz
Editor-in-chief
