The dismembering of the physical libraries of the Vermont State Colleges, soon to be Vermont State University, is a brutal and unnecessary act of violence to the life of the mind and learning. 

An excellent Vermont artist, Ann Young, has made the perfect painting commentary of the recent action done with poorly reasoned justification, without public input or support, in our state educational system.
