Within the last month, I received a survey regarding the cleanliness of Lake Champlain.

The survey was generated by a committee within the state of Vermont. The majority of the questions, if not all the questions, were directed toward farmers, homeowners fertilizing their lawns and pet owners walking their pets and whether or not they picked up after their pets and where they dispose of what they picked up.
Not one question addressed the major issue that is destroying Lake Champlain, the water source of thousands of Vermonters and New Yorkers. The issue: dumping hundreds of thousands of gallons of raw sewage into Lake Champlain over the past 30 years. Burlington, St. Albans, Rutland, Plattsburgh, and many other communities are all guilty.
My question to all of you is the following. Would all of you still be silenced if the two states, including the cities within our communities, were controlled by the Republicans? I doubt it!
