VTDigger will kick off its 2022 Digger Debate Series on April 13 with a livestreamed event featuring the Democratic candidates for Vermont’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. The 90-minute event, which begins at 6 p.m., is the first media-sponsored debate of the hotly contested race.

Four candidates vying to succeed U.S. Rep. Peter Welch will square off in the debate: Vermont Senate President Pro Tempore Becca Balint, former congressional staffer Sianay Chase Clifford, Lt. Gov. Molly Gray and state Sen. Kesha Ram Hinsdale. It will be moderated by VTDigger political reporters Lola Duffort and Sarah Mearhoff.
