The latest town-by-town Covid-19 data from the Vermont Department of Health covers a period through Sept. 15.

But the state has also reported hundreds of recent cases — including a record-setting 314 on Sept. 16 and 219 on Sept. 17 — that could be the result of a computer glitch that delayed test results from getting added to the data.

It’s still unclear how many of those cases are from tests conducted on Sept. 15 and earlier, meaning that the town-by-town case numbers could be far higher than reported.

The data still shows some signs of what’s going on in different regions. Marshfield and Plainfield, towns affected by a wedding-related outbreak, continue to report high rates of community transmission — more than 80 cases per 10,000 people over two weeks.

Other communities with high rates of transmission include Barre city, Barton, Fair Haven, Granby, Isle La Motte, Ludlow, Lunenburg, Richford, St. Albans city and Vernon, which also had one of the highest percentage increases in its case count — up 59% in the past two weeks.

Use the table above to look up your community’s Covid numbers, or see the Department of Health map to find out how those numbers compare to its population. (Note that the health department has started publishing its town data on a new webpage.)
