We are halfway through our Spring Drive and we have some fun news to share! If you can, will you help us finish the drive and send a book to a Vermont child?
One of the exciting things about partnering with the Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) during this drive is their connection to incredible Vermont authors.
As part of our Spring Drive, we are hosting a special Earth Day event this Thursday with Vermont author and illustrator Jason Chin. The event is for all ages, but especially kids! With many schools on vacation this week, we hope this will be a fun and educational way to celebrate Earth Day.
Jason is a Caldecott award-winning author whose books about natural ecosystems are filled with breathtaking ink and watercolor pictures. Jason will read one of his books, answer questions and lead a draw along activity for young ones.
This free or by donation event will be held on Thursday, April 22 at from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Zoom webinar format— so kids can get curious and ask questions (because we like to ask questions here at VTDigger)!
If you have a young person in your life who would enjoy this event, please share it with them and support VTDigger and CLiF by making a donation to our Spring Drive. Together, we hope to send books to 3,000 children across Vermont.
