[A] new class of summer interns has arrived at VTDigger, joining the news site’s growing team of reporters, editors and multimedia specialists.

The three journalists โ€” Peng Chen, Iris Lewis and Alexandre Silberman โ€” were selected from a pool of highly qualified applicants from around the country and began working alongside the Montpelier-based staff last month.

“We take seriously the idea that an important part of our mission is to inspire and educate the journalists of the future,” said VTDigger editor Anne Galloway.

“At the same time, these journalists make a significant contribution to our news report and provide a unique perspective as students and news consumers,” she said.
