[A] VTDigger report Thursday about a judicial retention hearing for Judge Samuel Hoar was published in error.
The story was based on a recording of a Wednesday evening proceeding that included questioning of several judges who are seeking to retain their seats on the bench, including Hoar.
However, the dialogue on the tape was misinterpreted and comments attributed to Hoar were actually made by Judge Kevin Griffin.
A report from the hearing as it pertained to Judge Hoar will be published later today.
VTDigger regrets the error.
