Scott and New Hampshire’s Sununu unveil joint paid leave program
Gov. Phil Scott wants to team up with New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu to propose a new voluntary paid family leave program. Their plan would merge the employee pools of both states, which they say will make the program more sustainable. Vermont Democratic leaders have previously pushed for a mandatory paid leave system.
Woman gets $60,000 in second Inntopia sexual misconduct case
A second woman has received a settlement after accusing an executive at a Stowe tech firm of sexual misconduct. Alison Miley said Inntopia executive Craig DeLuca propositioned her during a 2016 job interview. Miley secured a $60,000 payout and a judgment against the company.
Thousands expected for Montpelier women’s march
The organizers of this year’s Women’s March expect about 2,000 people to show up in Montpelier on Saturday. They’ll join protesters in all 50 states and in Washington DC to rally against the Trump administration’s policies on women’s rights and other marginalized groups.
