VTDigger will host a live one-to-one conversation with Tim Ashe, Vermont Senate president pro tem,ย to discuss the start of the 2019 legislative session and what Vermonters might be able to expect coming into it. Among Asheโ€™s priorities for the Senate this session are the introduction of four constitutional amendments, one of which expands gubernatorial terms to four years. He also wants to pass a bill that would implement a tax and regulate system for marijuana retail sales. Other priorities are minimum wage, family leave, clean water funding, and the perennial education finance issue.
