Police said Robert Ettori, 20, was a patient at RRMC and was set to undergo a mental health evaluation for delusional thoughts, but he refused it and left the unit against doctorโ€™s orders about 10:55 a.m.

He was last seen going into the woods near Perkins Road. Police say Ettori is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds, and has brown hair. He was last seen wearing only boxer shorts.

Rutland police as well as the Vermont State Police search and rescue team are trying to locate Ettori.

Anyone who sees him or knows his location is asked to call Rutland police at 773-1816.

Also, police are asking anyone who may have game or hunting cameras set up in the area of Perkins Road to contact them.

RRMC also released a statement Wednesday saying a person had left the facility against medical advice. But the hospital said it could not comment on the patient or the patientโ€™s medical situation because of privacy restrictions.
