[G]ov. Phil Scott this week vetoed a limited marijuana legalization bill. S.22 would have made it possible for Vermonters to legally possess up to 1 ounce of pot and several plants. The legislation did not provide for retail sales of the popular drug.

It appears Scott wants to have it both ways. The governor saysย he wouldย considerย a revised version of the bill if lawmakers are willing to make changes in an upcoming June veto session. He wants legislators to address the potential impact of legalization on the health of children and drug-impaired driving rates.
