[B]URLINGTON — VTDigger.org and media partners VCAM and RETN are launching a new video and podcast feature about regional news in the Queen City and Chittenden County.

The first episode focuses on Burlington ballot questions voters will face on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Voters will be asked to approve $27 million in general obligation bonds for infrastructure improvements, $8.4 million for water system improvements, a new zoning district that would allow the 14-story Burlington Mall redevelopment project to move forward, and a tax increment finance bond that would repay the mall developer for the cost to reconnect two city streets through reduced property tax payments.

Morgan True, VTDigger’s Burlington bureau chief, explains each of the ballot items in this 5 minute video.
