A veteran Rutland attorney will take over as executive director of the Vermont Bar Association this spring.
The association announced that Teri Corsones, of Mendon, will become head of the organization May 1.
Corsones practiced law for a quarter of a century in Rutland, working for a firm started by her father-in-law, Ted Corsones. She worked with her husband, Cort Corsones, brother-in-law Chris Corsones and several other partners.
Teri Corsones left the practice after her husband was appointed a judge. She currently works as the Superior Court clerk for Rutland, Addison and Bennington counties.
She was president of the Vermont Bar Association in 2010 and 2011 and sat on the board from 2003 through 2011.
She replaces Bob Paolini, who has served in the post for 20 years.
Paoliniโs retirement from the executive director position was announced in January. He will stay on as government affairs coordinator.
