The final remaining Vermont election result has been resolved: A recount confirmed victory for Republican incumbent Mark Higley in the race for the Orleans-Lamoille House seat for the towns of Lowell, Jay, Wesfield, Eden and part of Troy.
Higley finished 32 votes ahead of Progressive/Democrat contender, Katherine Sims.
In the final count, Sims claimed 892 votes; Higley had 924.
The recount turned up an additional 5 votes for Sims and 4 votes for Higley.
Susan Pion, the Orleans County Clerk, said the court wrapped up the recount late Wednesday afternoon.
