Vermont Public Television and Vermont Public Radio will collaborate on live web coverage of Gov. Peter Shumlin’s state of the state address from the Statehouse in Montpelier on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. Viewers will find it at VPT’s website, www.vpt.org, and VPR’s website, www.vpr.net.

Casella Waste, VPR donate 6,500 books to Children’s Literacy Foundation
As part of VPR’s May membership drive, Casella Waste Systems donated one new book to CLiF for every pledge received. As a result, Casella donated 6,500 new books to directly benefit at-risk children in Vermont and New Hampshire.
