PHOTOS: Burlington commemorates Juneteenth with downtown festival
The event opened with a reading from poet and teaching artist Rajnii Eddins and included Henna art, youth programming and a Juneteenth Celebration Choir performance.

The City of Burlington commemorated the Juneteenth holiday with a block party in downtown Burlington on Saturday. The theme of the event was “Freedom: Yesterday’s legacy, Today’s promise, Tomorrow’s Hope” and was produced by the city’s Office of Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
