Police have identified a man who was found dead in Pownal on Tuesday, and they are now calling his death a homicide.
Casey Gras, 36, of Bennington, died of multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and chest, according to a press release issued late Wednesday by Vermont State Police. An autopsy conducted at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington found that his manner of death was a homicide.
Gras was found dead Tuesday afternoon following an altercation on Chickadee Drive, where police say the stabbing occurred.
No arrests have been made, and state police previously said that there was no broader threat to the community.
