Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred Tuesday in Pownal following an altercation.
Authorities received a report of an altercation around 3 p.m. on Chickadee Drive, and responding troopers found a man dead at the scene, according to a press release issued Tuesday night by Vermont State Police.
No one has been arrested, and police said there was no broader threat to the community.
The man’s body is expected to be taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy. His name has not been released.
