A body was found by hunters in a wooded area in Washington on Wednesday, and police are calling the death suspicious.
The body was discovered around 2 p.m. along Poor Farm Road in Washington, according to a press release from Vermont State Police. Initial evidence gathered by troopers at the scene indicates that the person died under suspicious circumstances.
The victim’s body was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
The victim’s name will be released following notification of relatives, the release stated.
