It’s about time! Finally, now that the Defund the Police progressive majority has been removed from power, Burlington has a permanent police chief.
I’m honestly surprised it took this long. But progressives like (former city council president) Max Tracy do not now or ever have supported law enforcement. Chief Murad has the helm now and the agency can move forward.
The Progressive element in Burlington made the city unsafe with its Defund insanity. Can anyone name a city where police were defunded and crime went down? No!
Granted, the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office is still not doing its job, but one problem at a time. My best to the men and women of the Burlington Police Department.
