Concerning the recent EB-5 settlement of the Jay Peak fraud case, the state of Vermont and the AG’s office should be ashamed how they stonewalled transparency in this case.
In my opinion, the involvement of our highest elected officials and Vermont state administrators is a disgrace which state officials tried to cover up. We still don’t know why investor complaints and whistleblower complaints were ignored for so long.
The quick settlement in favor of the investors essentially shows the state officials’ negligence. That’s why they settled.
