Regarding the delayed approval of Gov. Scott’s choice of court-packing judges, Jennifer Barrett, of course she is a big advocate regarding domestic violence issues, an issue which is mostly a problem for women. Maybe if she were a Black woman, sheโ€™d be an advocate of racial justice, too? Kind of self-serving, isnโ€™t it?

What good is having a supermajority Vermont Democratic senators if you don’t periodically deny Gov. Scott his choice of marginally qualified and biased judges who seem to think imprisonment is the answer for every case? Someone who hangs around acknowledged racists?

How about someone from the defense side of the bench that might not want to imprison and prosecute everyone and instead strives for racial justice as well as XX-based issues?

We can do better, Senate. A “no” is appropriate here.
