Vermont reported 174 new Covid-19 cases, 74 hospitalizations and two additional deaths Monday.
Combined with 382 cases on Saturday and 273 on Sunday, the state’s seven-day average for new infections is 343, up from 328 on Friday, according to the Vermont Department of Health dashboard.
Vermont’s seven-day average test positivity rate was 13.1% on Monday, down from 13.5% on Friday. The test positivity rate includes only PCR tests, not at-home antigen tests.
The health department reported that 74 people were hospitalized with Covid as of Monday, up from 64 on Friday. That includes 11 people in intensive care, down from 14 on Friday.
The health department reported two additional Covid deaths on Monday. In total, 644 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic, including 19 in April and four in May.
