Vermont reported 424 new Covid-19 cases, 55 hospitalizations and no additional deaths Wednesday.

Today’s case count is the first time the state has reported more than 400 cases since Feb. 9, according to the Vermont Department of Health dashboard. The state’s seven-day average for new infections is 320, up from 306 on Tuesday. 

The health department reported that 55 people were hospitalized with Covid as of Wednesday, up from 51 on Tuesday. That includes nine people in intensive care, up from six on Tuesday.

The health department reported no additional Covid deaths on Wednesday. In total, 630 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic, including nine in April.
