Dear Reader,
This is shaping up to be among the most important years in Vermontโs recent political history. And VTDiggerโs talented reporters are here to help guide you through it. Will you support VTDiggerโs coverage of Vermont politics and government by contributing today?
We need 905 people to join our critical Spring Member Drive at any level by the end of the week in order to stay on track to meet our budget for 2022.
This legislative session, Vermont lawmakers have been debating where to direct hundreds of millions of dollars in federal aid, how to shore up the stateโs pension system and whether to enshrine abortion rights in the Vermont Constitution, among other key issues. VTDigger has deployed eight policy and politics reporters to the Statehouse โ by far the largest contingent of any news organization in the state โ to shine a light on the legislative process.
Weโve also been covering a watershed year in Vermontโs electoral politics, featuring open races for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House, lieutenant governor and secretary of state.
Weโve launched a statewide debate series that will help introduce and compare the candidates, and weโre hard at work on a voter guide to make it easier for readers to participate in the democratic process.
This work isnโt easy or cheap, but we know itโs important to you and your neighbors. Will you help support it?
Thank you for reading and supporting VTDigger.
