Vermont reported 219 new Covid-19 cases, 25 hospitalizations and no additional deaths on Wednesday.

The state’s seven-day average for new infections is 151, the same as Tuesday, according to the Vermont Department of Health dashboard.

Vermont’s seven-day average test positivity rate was 7.4% on Wednesday, up from 7.3% on Tuesday. The test positivity rate includes only PCR tests, not at-home antigen tests.

The health department reported that 25 people were hospitalized with Covid as of Wednesday, up from 22 on Tuesday. That includes three people in intensive care, up from two on Tuesday.

The health department reported no additional Covid deaths on Wednesday. Sixteen people died from Covid in Vermont in March, and 620 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
