Gifford Health Care announced they are temporarily limiting visitation, effective immediately.

In an announcement posted on Tuesday, Gifford detailed the temporary changes to visitation.

Most patients at Gifford Medical Center will be allowed only one consistent visitor, not just one at a time.

One exception to the new visitation rule is birthing center patients, who will not be allowed any visitors except a single person who may stay with the patient for the duration of their stay. Another exception is end-of-life patients, who will be permitted two visitors at a time.

Outpatient appointments in Gifford’s clinics, lab or diagnostics departments will be allowed one person to come with them, but they are encouraged to attend these appointments alone if possible.

Anyone visiting the Gifford campus must not have symptoms of Covid-19, be under quarantine due to potential exposure or travel or have had a Covid-19 diagnosis within the last ten days. Everyone will be required to wear a mask and will be screened for Covid-19 at the main entrance.
