The Department of Health reported 129 new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday, and four deaths since Friday. Total cases in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic now number 14,493, and total deaths are at 197. 

New cases were reported Sunday in 13 of Vermont’s 14 counties:

  • Chittenden: 45
  • Franklin: 26
  • Rutland: 12
  • Bennington: 11
  • Addison: 9
  • Washington: 8
  • Lamoille: 4
  • Windham: 3
  • Orleans: 3
  • Windsor: 3
  • Caledonia: 1
  • Grand Isle: 1
  • Orange: 3

As of Sunday, 38 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19. Ten of those people were in intensive care, and one more was hospitalized with a suspected case.

The state reported that 1,021,885 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since mid-March. As of Sunday, 324,864 people had been tested. The seven-day average positivity rate was 1.6%, down from 1.8% on Friday.
