Community Health Services of Lamoille Valley has a new, much simpler, much more descriptive name: Lamoille Health Partners.
The organization, based in Morrisville, is the only federally qualified health center in Lamoille County, a federally subsidized effort to ensure health care in underserved areas. These centers must set their fees on a sliding scale, based on ability to pay, and operate under a governing board that includes patients.
“Our organization has evolved over the years to include a comprehensive suite of health services uniquely designed to support the needs of this community,” said Stuart May, CEO of Lamoille Health Partners. “Updating our brand to reflect who we are today just made perfect sense.”
Lamoille Health Partners provides services in Morrisville and Stowe, including:
- Family medicine in Morrisville and Stowe
- Pediatrics in Morrisville
- Family dentistry in Morrisville
- Behavioral health and wellness in Morrisville
- Neurology in Morrisville
Each of those organizations also gets a name tweak: Appleseed Pediatrics becomes Lamoille Health Pediatrics; Stowe Family Practice becomes Lamoille Health Family Medicine, Stowe; Morrisville Family Health Care becomes Lamoille Health Family Medicine, Morrisville; Behavioral Health and Wellness becomes Lamoille Health Behavioral Health and Wellness; Community Dental Clinic becomes Lamoille Health Family Dentistry; the Community Health Team becomes the Lamoille Health Community Health Team; and the Neurology Clinic becomes Lamoille Health Neurology.
The organization also operates a pharmacy providing home delivery of medications and has a community health team that helps patients navigate the health care system, connect with community services, find affordable prescriptions and manage chronic medical conditions. Additionally, a medication assisted treatment team provides programs and support for people struggling with substance use.
