We’re on the edge of our seats as we count down the last days of 2020 and our annual membership drive! With only two days left in the year, we only need 90 more readers to step up and make a membership contribution at any level.
You might have seen an article about us in the Boston Globe yesterday. The Globe’s Mark Shanahan wrote about VTDigger’s evolution and unique value in the context of America’s expanding news deserts. Sadly, local print journalism continues to dwindle and social media and misinformation are surging to fill the void.
But, as a nonprofit publishing daily and investigative news of the highest journalistic standards, VTDigger is a “glimmer of hope.” We are beholden to no one except our readers. Time and time again, Vermonters have shown they fiercely value our original reporting.
