The Department of Health reported six new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the total cases confirmed in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,635.
The health department is continuing to investigate an outbreak of 14 positive cases linked to a party in Killington, and encourages anyone who attended the private party on Aug. 19 at the Summit Lodge to contact the department at 802-863-7240. See VTDigger’s story.
Two people in the state were reported to be in the hospital with confirmed cases of the virus, and 11 people hospitalized with suspected but not confirmed cases. To date, 58 people have died with the illness. No new deaths were reported.
As of Tuesday, the state reported that 138,446 people had been tested for the illness in Vermont since mid-March, an increase of 2,725 since Monday.
