Editor’s note: VTDigger editors have decided to remove from the news site a commentary published on July 16 titled “Something systemic is wrong, but is it systemic racism?”
On closer examination, it was determined the column did not meet VTDigger’s standards for publication, providing insufficient or misleading context for its core arguments.
VTDigger welcomes commentaries that present a good-faith exploration of topics of high interest to Vermonters. In this instance, that standard was not met.
It is also clear that pre-publication review of the column required a more deliberative process.
