WEST LEBANON โ€” Two people in New Hampshire who developed respiratory symptoms after traveling to Wuhan, China, have tested negative for the coronavirus, according to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.

Both patients, one who was treated at Littleton Regional Hospital and the other at Concord Hospital, have recovered, according to a news release from DHHS on Thursday.

The state will continue to monitor for potential cases of the virus, which has sickened 7,000 people in 15 countries, the release said. Just five people in the U.S. have tested positive for the virus.

โ€œWe will continue to work with healthcare providers to monitor for any additional suspect cases that may occur in New Hampshire and test as appropriate based on a personโ€™s symptoms and travel to affected areas in China,โ€ New Hampshire State Epidemiologist Dr. Benjamin Chan said in Thursdayโ€™s release. โ€œThe risk to our communities remains low.โ€
