[O]n Nov.6, Vermonters will cast their votes for governor, lieutenant governor, the House of Representatives and the state Senate.

The outcome will impact the balance of power in state politics over the next two years.

VTDigger sent out a survey to candidates for House, Senate and statewide races earlier this month asking for information about the candidates and their policy positions.

We wanted all candidates to have the opportunity to let constituents know where they stand on some of the most important issues facing Vermont. And we want to give VTDigger readers a one-stop shop to get informed before they head to the polls.

Our 2018 Elections guide will continue to be updated ahead of the general elections on Nov. 6 and will include campaign finance data from 2009 to the present.

Check back in to see our latest coverage of races across the state, videos of debates hosted by VTDigger and others, and analysis and interactive maps to help you navigate the political landscape, wherever you live.

And if you want to see what legislators got done last session, and how your representatives voted, check out our guide to the 2018 legislative session.

Lastly, a shoutout across the country to the fantastic folks at CALmatters.org, who let us use their excellent voter guide website design.
