[S]tate and local police are investigating a fatal shooting at a hotel in Dover.
Tara Oliveri, 43, of Dover, was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound early Friday morning at the Snow Creek Inn on Route 100, according to police.
Local police responded to a 9-1-1 call received early Friday morning from Jeffrey Pahkala, 37, a Dover resident, who reported a woman had been shot at the inn.
When law enforcement arrived, they found Oliveri deceased, according to police.
Vermont State Police were called in to assist with the investigation.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of Oliveri’s death.
Police say the case seems to be an isolated incident.
