BENNINGTON — The former Peppermills restaurant makeover was underway Monday morning.
The building was bought on April 15 by the owners of the nearby Safford Mills Inn & Cafe, John Redding and Lisa Harrington-Redding. The building and the .19 acres is sits on were bought from the Bank of Bennington for $27,000. When it was known as Peppermills it was owned by Kathleen and Richard Musinski.
Peppermills closed on New Year’s Eve, 2014, after being in business 10 years.
The structure was built in 1930 and for a long time was known as Vermont Steak House.
