A 14-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car Friday afternoon while riding his bicycle on Route 7 in Highgate, police say.
The Vermont State Police reported in a press release that the boy, Christian Regan, of Swanton, was killed when he collided with a car driven by Gage Bouchard, 22, of Highgate.
Regan was riding his bike northbound on Route 7. Bouchard was also driving northbound when his 2002 Ford Escape collided with Regan.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the Vermont State Police.
