Police said they received a report from a resident Saturday evening that a man had entered his home and left with his cat.
The man told police he was at home when an older man, with white or gray hair and a stubbly beard, came into his house.
The intruder reportedly told the cat’s owner that he was looking for his own cat, named Mason. The intruder then took the resident’s white-pawed tabby cat when he left, according to police.
Police said the cat thief left in a dark colored four-door sedan.
