Just in time for holiday shopping, Keurig Green Mountain has begun the sale of its new cold beverage system.
The maker of the Keurig hot beverage system announced Wednesday that it will sell its Keurig KOLD system for $369.99. The system will brew cold beverages using pods similar to its disposable K-Cup hot beverage units.
The cold system will feature products made by Coca-Cola, which owns a 16 percent stake in Keurig Green Mountain. It will also offer flavors such as Dr. Pepper and Snapple products.
“Keurig has redefined the way consumers enjoy coffee and tea in their homes and offices and today with the launch of Keurig KOLD, we’re embarking on a new journey that will change the way consumers enjoy cold beverages at home,” Brian Kelley, president and CEO of Keurig, said in a news release.
The cold beverage system will be sold on Keurig.com and at select retailers in six cities — Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York, the release said.
Other available flavor pods include products made by Seraphine, FLYTE, Waterful, Red Barn Craft Soda, Flynn’s Soda Shop and Tierney’s Iced Tea, the release said.
