Police are investigating the death of a 5-month-old child in Randolph.

Wyatt Morrill of Hartland was pronounced dead early Sunday morning at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, according to the Vermont State Police.

Morrill was at the residence of Randy Morrill and Autumn Pearson early Sunday morning when he was found unresponsive.

South Royalton Rescue responded to the home and attempted to resuscitate the child as they transported him to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the state police notified the childโ€™s parents, Timothy Morrill and Kristi Bonnell, that he was being taken to the hospital.

The Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating Morrillโ€™s death, and police are awaiting results of an autopsy by the Chief Medical Examiner.
