Lobbyists can now register with the Secretary of State’s Office online and Vermonters can more easily search that information.
Secretary of State Jim Condos announced the new lobbyist information website Monday in a news release.
The site is the second major aspect of the Secretary of State’s website to be streamlined in the past several months. The Campaign Finance Information System (CFIS) was launched in August and is mandatory for campaign finance reporting this year.
“The development of online filing systems for both lobbyist disclosure and campaign finance that provide searchable information for the general public, in real time, has been long overdue,” Condos said in the release.
