Gov. Peter Shumlin has released his first ad of the 2014 election season via YouTube.
The ad features Vermonters who approve of the governor’s handling of Tropical Storm Irene, his support for an increase in the minimum wage, the high school/college dual enrollment program and his initiative for fighting heroin and opiate addiction.
The ad is to run statewide, according to Scott Coriell, the governor’s campaign manager.
Coriell would not say which television stations will be broadcasting the ad because he didn’t want to disclose the governor’s media strategy.
The Vermonters who appear in the ad include: Roger Marcoux, Lamoille County Sheriff, Bob Butler, former Waterbury Selectman, and students Brittany LeBeau and Ruby MacDonald.
