VTDigger has won two national grant awards this year.
The Fund for Investigative Journalism has awarded VTDigger $2,500 for business reporting.
The Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation awarded VTDigger a $75,000 matching grant in March to hire a publisher and a data reporter. The publisher will expand our sponsorship and contributing subscriber programs and explore new sources of revenue. The data reporter will develop a set of searchable campaign finance tools. This data will be made available on VTDigger and will be a source of information for our election and legislative reporting.
We need to raise $40,000 in matching funds for both positions.
We are grateful for the support of the Fund for Investigative Journalism and Ethics and Excellence in Journalism as we continue to establish VTDigger as a financially sustainable source of news in Vermont.
VTDigger is a project of the Vermont Journalism Trust, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
