Vermont Public Radio’s Bob Kinzel hosted a reporters’ roundtable Friday on two issues in the news last week: Questions about a shortfall in FEMA funding for the Waterbury State Office Complex and the Vermont State Hospital, and the Democratic primary race for Vermont Attorney General.
Anne Galloway of VTDigger.org, Pete Hirschfeld of the Vermont Press Bureau and Paul Heintz of 7Days, talked about the Shumlin administration’s handling of its FEMA funding request and whether or not Sen. Randy Brock’s allegations that lawmakers were misled by officials had merit.
The four reporters also discussed the primary race between TJ Donovan, state’s attorney for Chittenden County, and Bill Sorrell, Vermont Attorney General. The two candidates recently sparred over a poll, debate promises and a pledge to run clean campaigns.
