Renee Carpenter hosts a legislative discussion every Tuesday morning. Last week she invited Rep. Tony Klein, D-E. Montpelier, and vtdigger.org editor Anne Galloway onto the show to talk about the Senate’s decision to shut down Vermont Yankee. Klein said it’s likely the Vermont House will float its own Yankee bill. Galloway asked him why this is necessary since the Senate decision, for procedural reasons, makes a House vote moot. Klein, Carpenter and Galloway also discussed the severity of the state’s fiscal deficit.
